Port Liberte's Transportation Options

Living in Port Liberte has quite a few perks, including countless transportation options for getting around New Jersey and the New York Metro area. With so many options, it can be hard to find the right choice for you. Here are some of our best (and affordable!) public transportation options to avoid traffic and enjoy your commute!

Port Liberte Ferry

If you're looking for an easy commute into downtown New York, the Port Liberte Ferry will get you there fast! Located at 7 Chapel Avenue in Jersey City, NJ, the Port Liberte Ferry will take you directly into downtown at the Battery Maritime Building Terminal.

Daily and monthly passes are available for those on the go, and one-way tickets are $13 on weekdays starting at 6 AM. With trips every 35 minutes until 7:10 PM, this is a great option for commuters, or those in Port Liberte that want to spend the day in the city. 

Port Liberte Shuttle

If you're looking to get around the Port Liberte area, look no further than Port Liberte's official shuttle service. This shuttle, which runs from 6 AM to 9 PM, is the best way to get from Port Liberte to Grove Street. This is especially convenient for those looking to take the PATH train for their morning commute, which is located just near the Grove Street shuttle stop.

The shuttle also runs on the weekends from 9 AM to 10 PM. Tickets for the shuttle are $3 and can be purchased at the local HOA office. 

Liberty Landing Ferry

The Liberty Landing Ferry is another transportation option, located on Audrey Zapp Drive in Jersey City. The Little Lady ship departs from three locations, and when you live in the Port Liberte area, you will gain quick access to the World Financial Center Terminal in New York City and the Warren Street Terminal in Jersey City.

Routes begin at 6 AM and end at 8:55 PM on the weekdays. In addition, the ferry has weekend hours from 9 AM to 7:55 PM. Fare for adults is $14 round trip, but discounts are available for different age groups and if you buy in bulk. If you'd like more info, check out their weekend and weekday schedules online. 

Paulus Hook Ferry

If you're looking to get into Midtown Manhattan, look no further than the Paulus Hook Ferry! The Paulus Hook Ferry can be found on Hudson Street in Jersey City and runs directly into Midtown starting at 6:43 AM and ending at 7:30 PM. It only takes 13 minutes to get from stop-to-stop during peak commute times, making this one of the fastest ways to get into the city.

The ferry also runs late on Friday nights, so you can take the 11 PM ferry back to New Jersey. Tickets are $9 for a one-way trip, but they also offer discounted rates for tickets bought in bulk. 

The Light Rail

The New Jersey Light Rail is a modern approach to traveling by train. With lightening quick speeds and stops across the state, the Hudson-Bergen route grants access to some of New Jersey's coolest spots. This portion of the Light Rail runs from 6 AM to 1 AM, which lets you travel across the state during all hours of the day. 

For Port Liberte residents, the Danforth Avenue and Liberty Science Center/Liberty State Park stops are particularly convenient. Fares start at $2.25, and monthly passes are also available.

Harborside Ferry

The Harborside Ferry is the perfect option for commuters looking to get from Jersey City to Midtown. The ferry puts you right at W. 39th Street, which makes getting into the center of Manhattan easy without all the fuss of the subway or traffic. You can find the Harborside Ferry at 210 Hudson Street—it's just a stone's throw away from Port Liberte. 

One way fares are $9 on weekdays, and the ferry runs every 18 minutes starting at 6:30 AM and ending at 7:30 PM. Discounted packages are available for commuters who travel frequently, and weekend ferries are available.
